Experience the traditional methods used in collecting Tea by following the pickers' footsteps over the fields of the oldest Tea Estates on the island of Mauritius. Come learn about the various stages involved in preparing Tea. The Tea tasting will take place at Le Chalet du Domaine de Bois Chéri, which has a panoramic view of Le Lac des Cygnes du Domaine de Bois Chéri and is located on our island's Southeastern shore. A distinctive and immersive experience in a tranquil setting.

The program of the day:

• Arrival at 09h00 at the Bois Chéri Tea Museum

• A typical Mauritian breakfast

• Briefing by the field leader

• The history of Bois Chéri tea

• Detailed explanations on the Tea picking

• Handing over of the baskets

• Itinerary - Upon arrival at the plantations, the group will start the picking which will last approximately 20 minutes

• Once the Tea picking is done, we will go to L’Usine de Thé de Bois Chéri where all the baskets will be weighed and the Tea leaves verified

• The initiates will discover the various steps involved in the making of the Tea from the raw material to the finished good. Strong of this knowledge, the explorers will then taste the various Teas and Herbal teas of Bois Chéri, in a magnificent environment overlooking Le Lac des Cygnes du Domaine de Bois Chéri

• Lunch will then be served at Le Bois Chéri Restaurant

• Rate is valid for Mauritians & local residents ONLY (proof of Mauritian ID Card or Residence permit to be shown upon arrival)

• It is NOT advisable for toddlers (0-4 years old) to visit the factories. The Management CANNOT be held responsible for any accident that may happen

• Rates may vary depending on date (please select a date to see price) and are subject to availability

• The voucher is valid for up to a period of 60 days from date of purchase

• Customers should contact us on 2180052 for seat availability 1 week before their intended excursion date

• Lateness: The supplier reserves the right to cancel the booking and no refund will be made

• In case customers have already confirmed their excursion date, but wish to amend the date, they should contact us 72 hours prior to the scheduled date

• The supplier reserves the right to amend the itinerary in case of bad weather conditions

• Children: from 5-12 years old

• Policy on Postponement:

• Any request for a postponement is not guaranteed and must be notified at least 48 hours prior to the arrival date

• Policy on No-Shows:

• There are no cancellations after a booking has been confirmed

• No-shows will be charged the full fee; no refunds, rescheduling, or re-booking will be permitted
